Sinopse

A 1.200km da costa do Brasil, a cerca de um terço do caminho para a África, ergue-se no azul profundo do Atlântico Sul o cume de uma montanha submersa de cerca de 6.000m de altura: a Ilha da Trindade. O documentário, com direção de Rafael Duarte e Italo Yure, com produção de Jaime Portas Vilaseca e Rafael Duarte (29’) conta a história da jornada da equipe de expedições Miramundos à ilha em um navio de guerra da Marinha do Brasil e que teve a missão de desembarcar na ilha para revelar alguns de seus mistérios e encantos deste lugar que é praticamente desconhecida da população e quase impossível de ser visitado. O filme mostra como os integrantes da equipe fizeram para percorrer os principais pontos da ilha em apenas 45h após terem feito uma viagem de 4 dias em alto mar convivendo com os militares e acompanhando seus treinamentos a bordo.

Synopsis | 750 miles off the coast of Brazil, about one third of the way to Africa, the summit of an underwater mountain rises over the South Atlantic at 20,000 feet: the Trindade Island. The documentary, directed by Rafael Duarte and Italo Yure, produced by Jamie Portas Vilaseca and Rafael Duarte (29’), tells the story of the Miramundos expedition team’s journey to the island on a Brazilian Navy battleship, and the team’s mission was to disembark on the island to reveal some of the mysteries and charms present on that place that is mostly unknown to the general population and nearly impossible to be visited. The film depicts the team members’ efforts to visit the island’s main landmarks in only 45 hours after having travelled in high sea for 4 days, living with the military and following their training onboard.
